TASKS/TIMINGS
15 MINUTES Looking at previous students work (starter activity)
1 HOUR Main activity and one to ones
Begin to create your mood board. Your mood board should reflect your current intentions and should include
- Drawings/paintings/collage
- Images of subject matter
- Images of artists/designers/fashion/textile techniques
- 2-3 samples
- clearly show a colour way - yarn wraps etc.
Do you want to make a paper based mood board or a photographic* one?
*Remember if you are doing a photographic one you will need to have a good clear surface to shoot on, good lighting (ideally natural light!), a good range of different objects and be able to have your photographic printed in high quality e.g. an actual photographic print!
TOP TIP!
Remember your choice of colour on your mood board is key! If you are a bit stuck with this or want some inspiration DESIGN SEEDS is a great place to look! You can even search for colour palettes based on specific themes and colours.
