Starter: Peer review
Get out the words you set for your artist yesterday and your planner. In pairs switch and comment on if they have met them! Rate them out of 10 for effort with regard to quantity and quality from yesterday's lesson
Lesson Aims: To begin working towards AO1 (artist research) and AO3 (secondary research: recording) by creating your own paintings/drawings of your researched artists work.Lesson Objectives (During this lesson we will):
1. Set yourself clear targets and a checklist for the upcoming weeks of work to be completed
2. Select keywords to inform your response to your artists
3. Start/continue responding to an artist's work through a variety of chosen techniques and media.
Extension Combine artworks/artist techniques together and create a new and unique image!
ONE TO ONE
One to one to discuss ideas & suggestions for observational study
PLENARY The next two weeks-
Use your planner to make ensure you are clear about what needs to be completed & when you can complete it! Set yourself clear deadlines for work independently next week and during reading weekWORK TO BE COMPLETED
1. Artist research board - per artist
- 3 samples
- written review (500 words) if you need it please follow the 'How to analyse work in Textiles' sheet for guidance - you can access it HERE
- Images of artists work
2. Observational/secondary photographs 40 minimum
3. Responses to photographs - 3 minimum e.g. drawing, painting, collage, etc.
4. Primary visit - gallery, exhibition or location. Document fully with both sketches & photographs
